EXCLUSIVE: Global sales agent Palisades Park Pictures has signed an agreement with VIP Medienfonds to represent all available media rights to its catalog, including the Media 8 film library.
The slate includes rights to 14 films released between 2002-2013. The library includes titles such as Patty Jenkins’ Monster, starring Charlize Theron; Upside of Anger, starring Kevin Costner, Joan Allen, and Evan Rachel Wood; and Barbara Kopple’s action thriller Havoc, starring Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Channing Tatum.
Palisades Park Pictures will launch sales on the library titles at the upcoming MIPCOM and AFM markets. The licensing deal was negotiated by Birkemoe with VIP Medienfond’s Christian Beutel.
“Christian and the team at VIP are wonderful partners and it’s a pleasure to be in business with them on this important library of Academy Award winners, box office hits, and iconic genre fare,” said Palisades Park Pictures CEO and Partner Tamara Birkemoe. “I worked on a number of these titles during my tenure at Media 8 tenure, which makes this partnership extra special. I am delighted to offer the marketplace the opportunity to continue enjoying these cinematic gems.”
Other titles in the library include Running Scared, starring Paul Walker and Vera Farmiga from director Wayne Kramer, the thriller The I Inside, directed by Roland Suso Richter and starring Ryan Philippe and Sarah Polley and the horror pic Grimm Love, featuring Thomas Kretschmann, Keri Russell and Thomas Huber from director Marin Weisz.
Palisades sales slate also includes That’s Amore, starring John Travolta, Katherine Heigl, and Christopher Walken.
