Paige Howard has a special role in new Nickelodeon show ‘The Astronauts’

Coming into this year’s awards season, Ron Howard’s Netflix drama, “Hillbilly Elegy” seemed poised to be a major contender with two powerful performances from Amy Adams and Glenn Close. Well, when the critics got ahold of the film and the reviews circulated, “Hillbilly Elegy” was eviscerated and the hopes of major awards contention began to dissipate.

Netflix’s Hillbilly Elegy, starring Amy Adams and Glenn Close and directed by Ron Howard, is being critically panned and the stars are now reacting to the movie’s reviews.

Glenn Close politely called out Gwyneth Paltrow while fielding questions about being nominated for an Academy Award seven times without a single win.  The actress, 73, is in the Oscar conversation once again for her role in the Ron Howard-directed Netflix original “Hillbilly Elegy."
