Sam Heughan has just delighted fans after announcing Sassenach Spirits is creating a gin that is set to be released in Summer 2023.
The Outlander actor, who is best known for his role as Jamie Fraser in the historical fantasy series, also created a highly successful spirit brand. Sassenach Spirits previously launched a blended Sassenach Whiskey, as well as the hugely popular Sassenach Select Double Wood Reposado Tequila.
Taking to social media to announce the exciting news, the Scots star said: "I am so excited to tell you guys about something we have been working on for quite some time with Sassenach Spirits since our last release, of the whiskey and also the Sassenach Select Tequila. We have been working on something I'm really proud of, the Sassenach gin, it's going to be a Scottish gin. Using all of the finest botanicals and ingredients from all around Scotland.
"It's been a long tasting process but we are almost there, it's in the final stages. I'm really excited. I love a gin and tonic. I love a martini. And our gin is going to work perfectly in both. It's going to be ready by summer next year. It's going to refresh your taste buds."
He added: "I can't wait to share it with you all, sláinte! Here's to great gin and tonics."
