OSHA investigating ‘Tales of the Walking Dead’ following boat fall

The Walking Dead's flagship run, this final hiatus has a lot of fans looking ahead to where the franchise will go next with these familiar characters. After the still-airing Fear the Walking Dead and the limited World Beyond spinoff, the next big TWD spinoff was long ago revealed to be an on-the-road buddy drama focusing on two of the show's fan-favorite characters, Norman Reedus' Daryl and Melissa McBride's Carol. Those plans have now changed, however, as it appears McBride is no longer involved with the project.

AMC just lost one half of its “The Walking Dead” spin-off.

Melissa McBride, who has starred as Carol in The Walking Dead since the series launch, will not be part of a planned untitled spinoff slated for 2023. The so-called Carol-Daryl spinoff was to be focused on her and Norman Reedus’ TWD characters.

“Walking Dead” villain Alpha, played by Samantha Morton, will return for one episode. Norman Reedus, who plays fan favorite Daryl Dixon, suffered a concussion last month while filming the final season of the flagship series.

It involved a riverboat and a plank connecting the boat to the pier. The crew member fell into the water and was taken to a hospital via ambulance, but she is in stable condition.

The Walking Dead has officially come to an end. Filming wrapped on the final ever scenes this week, almost 12 years after it first premiered.

Details of Morton’s episode have not been released yet. Each episode of “Tales of the Walking Dead” will be a standalone, but are all set in the same zombie apocalypse world.
