Dustin Lance Black is in recovery mode after a recent head injury and he expects to make a full recovery!

Elizabeth Taylor Dustin Lance Black is opening up about his recovery from a head injury he suffered earlier this year.  While the Oscar-winning screenwriter hasn’t detailed what happened to him, he told Variety at Thursday’s premiere of “Mama’s Boy,” HBO’s new documentary adaptation of his 2019 memoir, that doctors expect a full recovery. “What’s been really challenging is not being able to use my mind,” Black said on the carpet, which also served as the opening night film of LGBTQ film festival NewFest. “And I didn’t share it publicly until I was at a place where I was able to be a little creative again — at least for a few hours a day in the morning with breaks.”

The husband of Olympic diver Tom Daley, Dustin Lance Black, has shared that he recently suffered a "serious head injury" and was advised to "shut off [his] brain" in order to recover. Dustin, 48, said it had been a “challenging, frightening time” but he has been on the "long road back" to recovery.
