No longer feeling pressured to maintain what is left of his once unblemished «Golden Boy» image, De La Hoya feels «liberated,» a byproduct of unshackling himself from a self-made prison rooted in — by his own admission — lies he peddled for years. Decades, actually.Now calling himself «an open book,» the 1992 Olympic gold medalist is finally ready to talk -- without discomfort or an ounce of awkwardness — about some of his darkest moments.
