Even though Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have stepped down as senior royals, they're still getting invitations to high-profile events.

Brad Pitt wasn't at the BAFTAs last night, but he won Best Supporting Actor and had his Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star Margot Robbie deliver his acceptance speech for him. (Pitt could not attend due to family obligations, although a source close to Pitt reassured Cosmopolitan UK that "nothing serious happened.") Pitt was kind enough to put a Brexit and Prince Harry joke in there, which Robbie had to say in front of Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have managed to escape the prying eyes of the British media, but a whole new set of paparazzi awaits them in Canada. For starters, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who had revealed their plan to work independently  have not yet confirmed their next step.

Royal fans were left shell shocked on Monday when Queen Elizabeth granted her consent to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In a pivotal decision, the Queen allowed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to pursue their plans after they stated last week their decision to step back as 'senior' members of the royal family.

“Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge,” Prince Harry and Prince William said in a joint statement on Jan. 13.

Prince Harry and his brother Prince William have issued a joint statement denying “bullying” claims, saying they care “deeply” about each other. A publication had reported that Harry’s recent decision to step away from the royal family alongside his wife Meghan Markle was down to a “bullying attitude”.
