Slipknot have announced that they have parted ways with drummer Jay Weinberg. In an official social media statement, the Iowa band said that they are “intent on evolving”, and have made the “creative decision” that Weinberg will leave the band. It is the second time in five months that the band have lost a member, after keyboardist Craig Jones left the group in June.

The Office showrunner Greg Daniels has responded to reports that a revival of the US sitcom is in development.Last month, a Puck News report claimed a reboot of the series would be announced when the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike came to an end. Superman's original Lois Lane actress Phyllis Coates has sadly died at the age of 96. The Hollywood actress starred alongside George Reeves in the TV series Adventures of Superman, and was the first person to portray the feisty newspaper reporter on-screen in the 1951 film Superman and the Mole Men. Clayton Davis Senior Awards Editor Matthew Heineman’s moving documentary feature “American Symphony” was recently acquired by Netflix after its debut at the Telluride Film Festival, cementing itself as one of the early frontrunners for the Oscars. Its main subject, “Soul” Oscar winner Jon Batiste, will now be in the race for best original song with the track “It Never Went Away.” Batiste sings the emotional number, which he co-wrote with Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Dan Wilson. The new show would hail from Aaron Korsh, the creator of “Suits.” At this time, it would not be a spinoff, prequel, or sequel to the original show, but rather would feature entirely new characters in a new setting. Nothing is finalized as of yet, but given the recent success of “Suits” on streaming, it is believed to be a high priority for NBCUniversal.
