‘One of Us Is Lying’ Adaptation Ordered to Series at Peacock

Amy Adams has joined the cast of the film adaptation of “Dear Evan Hansen” at Universal and features the music and lyrics from “La La Land” duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.Adams will play Cynthia Murphy, mother of Connor and Zoe.“Dear Evan Hansen” is the story of a high school senior who has severe social anxiety and has trouble connecting with others and making friends. After the suicide of a classmate, Hansen gets caught in a lie that brings him closer to his classmate’s family.

Update 8/19/20: Amazon's epic series Wheel of Time has added five more people to its ranks. The streaming service announced on Wednesday that the series has added Sophie Okonedo as Siuan Sanche, Kae Alexander as Min Farshaw, Kate Fleetwood as Liandrin Guirale, Peter Franzen as Stepin, and Clare Perkins as Kerene Nagashi. They join Criminal Minds alum Daniel Henney, whose casting was announced last September, and Rosamund Pike who will lead the genre series based on the bestselling fantasy.
