‘One Fine Morning’ Film Review: Mia Hansen-Løve Captures Love, Death, and Renewal in a Young Mother’s Life

Elsa Keslassy International CorrespondentParis-based sales company Charades has closed a raft of deals on “Forever Young,” Valeria Bruni Tedeschi’s film which competed at Cannes and earned a warm critical welcome. “Forever Young” opens at the end of the 1980s in Paris and follows a young troupe of comedians who have just have been admitted to Les Amandiers, the prestigious theater school headed by Patrice Chéreau. Bruni Tedeschi wrote the script alongside Agnès De Sacy and regular collaborator Noémie Lvovsky.

Named Constellation Productions, the new outfit is on board to co-produce Quebecois director Jeremy Comte’s debut “Paradise” and Carmen Chaplin’s documentary feature “Charlie Chaplin: A Man of the World.”Created by Fabien Westerhoff in 2016, Film Constellation kicked off its production activities two years ago and is now taking it to the next level to invest on more promising talents, as well as develop original projects.

We’ll be seeing more of Dr. Elizabeth Wilder on NBC’s New Amsterdam. Sandra Mae Frank, who joined the series in the current fourth season as a recurring, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming fifth and final season, Deadline has confirmed.

That’s not to say that One Fine Morning has anything radical to offer — the story of a single mother falling in love with her late husband’s (married) friend, it won’t win any prizes for advancing the feminist cause — but it does offer a very thoughtful character sketch, composed around what might be a career-best role for underused Bond star Léa Seydoux.

Eagles Of Death Metal have given testimony in Paris in an ongoing civic trial surrounding the November 2015 terrorist attack on the city – which included the band’s own performance at the Bataclan theatre.Frontman Jesse Hughes and guitarist Eden Galindo appeared in court on Tuesday (May 17), with both describing how the attack had permanently affected them as survivors. The Guardian reports that Hughes immediately knew the venue was under attack while the band was playing their song ‘Kiss The Devil’.“Being from a desert community in California, I know the sound of gunshots,” he said. Hughes went on to state that he “knew death was upon us” as three gunmen opened fire on the audience, ultimately killing 90 people.Galindo, meanwhile, expressed his grief over the loss of the victims – to the point where he ultimately left Eagles Of Death Metal for a time.
