The cause of death of Olympic track and field champion Tori Bowie has been revealed.
The athlete sadly passed away at the age of 32, and an autopsy report has revealed the details of her death, via People.

Tori died from childbirth complications, according to the autopsy report from Florida’s Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.
She had a “well-developed fetus,” and was undergoing labor at the time of her death. She was about eight months pregnant, and her death was ruled natural, via the report.
The “possible complications” contributing to her death include “respiratory distress and eclampsia,” which is a rare but serious complication of preeclampsia, according to the Cleveland Clinic. It can cause high blood pressure and organ damage.
According to the autopsy, the 5-foot-9 inch Olympic star weighed 96 pounds at the time of her death.
“Unfortunately, so many people, including the media, are making speculations that she did something to herself, which is very hurtful. So hopefully, now knowing the truth, there will be many apologies,” her agent, Kimberly Holland, said in a statement.
