A property developer has been dramatically cleared of murdering his wife while they were on holiday in Denmark, after a judge ruled there was 'insufficient' evidence.

Donald McPherson stood trial accused of drowning 47-year-old Paula Leeson, in a swimming pool in a rented property.

But Mr McPherson, 47, who denied murder, has been acquitted after the judge directed the jury to return a not guilty verdict.
