There has been an influx in off-road bikes driving at dangerous speeds and taking advantage of the empty streets.
Officers say they have had a number of reports about people on the illegal bikes ‘tearing through our neighbourhoods’, and they’re now asking for help in identifying who they are.
“These bikes don't suddenly become muffled on leaving or returning to where they are being stored,” officers posted on the GMP Fallowfield, Withington, Levenshulme & Burnage Facebook page.
