NYFF 2023 Main Slate Includes New Films From Jonathan Glazer, Yorgos Lanthimos, Alice Rohrwacher & More

It’s official: Deadline reports that Greta Gerwig‘s “Barbie” is now the highest-grossing domestic film of 2023. This comes to the surprise of no one who’s felt the Kenergy since the film hit theaters a little over a month ago with a $162 million opening weekend.

Despite the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Fall film festivals like Venice, TIFF, and NYFF forge ahead with their lineups. And today, TIFF announced the star-studded roster for its Gala and Special Presentation lineups for the 48th edition of the festival.

The show must go on…until it can’t.

Film at Lincoln Center has set the 32 features from 18 countries making up the Main Slate of the New York Film Festival, from Cannes prize-winners Anatomy Of A Fall by Justine Triet (Palme d’Or) and Zone Of Interest by Jonathan Glazer (Grand Prix), to the latest by Ryûsuke Hamaguchi, Wim Wenders, Agnieszka Holland, Hong Sangsoo, Radu Jude, Yorgos Lanthimos and Alice Rohrwacher.

The final headliners for this year’s Manchester Pride festival have been revealed for 2023. Iconic electro artist Alison Goldfrapp will be joining the bill, along with dancer, drag performer and DJ Raven Mandella and Eurovision legend Conchita Wurst.

Valenzuela will come in at the film as she reconstructs her own identity as a “human being/woman/Afro-Caribbean/filmmaker.” “The driving force of this film is the desire for emancipation, both from the constraints of existence and from those of filmmaking,” she has said.
