Schools in New York City will remain closed for the remainder of the academic year, Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced.
“It will help us to save lives,” de Blasio said. “It’s the right decision,” he said.
It has been several weeks since schools were shut down due to the ongoing health crisis and teachers have been doing lessons via remote learning and parents have been acting as home school instructors.
