The man suspected of killing of three people during a horror knife rampage in Nottingham has been named locally as Valdo Amissão Mendes Calocane.
The 31-year-old, who is a graduated from the same university as two of his victims in 2022, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday. Footage shows the man being detained by police next to a white van, which he had driven into three people waiting at a bus stop just moments before, the Mirror reports.
Witnesses say he was tasered by officers before he was placed in handcuffs. University of Nottingham students Barnaby Webber and Grace Kumar, both 19, were brutally stabbed to death just minutes away from their homes at roughly 4am on Ilkeston Road.

At around 5.30am, the suspected killer rammed the van into a group of people waiting at a bus stop on Milton Street in the city centre. He was arrested on nearby Maples Street soon after.
One of the victims struck by the van remains in critical condition in hospital. The other two casualties escaped with only minor injuries.
According to reports, Calocane was a mechanical engineering student at the University of Nottingham before graduating in 2022. Counter-terrorism police are assisting with inquiries into the attack, however they are not leading the investigation, the BBC reports.
The media outlet added that the suspect is currently refusing to co-operate with police, which could potentially slow down the investigation. It comes after armed officers carried out a raid on a property on
