Jeff Gladney, a cornerback for the NFL team Arizona Cardinals, has tragically died at the age of 25.
The football player reportedly died in a car accident, but details of the accident are not known at this time, according to People.
A statement was released by the Arizona Cardinals on Monday (May 30) to confirm the news.

“We are devastated to learn of Jeff Gladney‘s passing. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all who are mourning this tremendous loss,” the team said in the statement on Twitter.
Jeff signed to the Cardinals in March 2022 and had not yet played in an official game for the team. He previously played for the Minnesota Vikings, but was cut after being charged with assault. He was found not guilty by a jury and signed with the Cardinals shortly after.
Cardinals star JJ Watt reacted to the news by tweeted, “Horrifying news to hear this morning. Just tragic. Rest In Peace Jeff.”
