Next ‘Planet of the Apes’ Film to Star Owen Teague

EXCLUSIVE: Vertical Entertainment has snapped up North American and UK rights to the horror film Blood, from award-wining director Brad Anderson (The Machinist, The Call). While the feature will be released to both theaters and digital platforms, a release date has not yet been disclosed.

With 68.5 million hours watched, the limited series passed Neil Gaiman’s “The Sandman,” which was watched for 53.8 million hours in the same period and had held the No. 1 position on the English-language series chart for the three weeks prior. “Me Time,” the comedy film starring Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg, debuted as the second-most-watched title of the week and the No. 1 movie. Racking up 59.2 million hours watched in its first three days of availability on the streamer, “Me Time” follows Sonny (Hart) as he reconnects with his best friend Huck (Wahlberg) for a wild weekend while his wife (Regina Hall) and kids are away.

Kevin Hart says Mark Wahlberg and the Funky Bunch will be opening for him on tour anytime soon, hilariously roasting his co-star in the process. ET's Kevin Frazier caught up with the cast of Netflix's at the film's Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday night, with Hart explaining why he had to decline Wahlberg's offer to join him on the road for his comedy tour as Marky Mark. «He offered it and I said, 'Let's do it' and he put his stupid price tag in front of it that didn't make any sense,» Hart says. «Yeah, he said, 'Kevin, I need $7 million for three songs.' That's what he did.» Claiming to have not ruled out the option solely on price, Hart did have one more request. «I said, 'Are you going to do it in the Calvin Klein underwear?'» Hart jokes. «He said, 'No, I'm not coming out like that anymore.' That defeats the purpose.

Pop Idol star Darius Campbell Danesh's ex-wife Natasha Henstridge has paid an emotional tribute to the star after he was found dead on 11 August. Darius, who found fame on Pop Idol in 2011, tragically passed away aged 41 and was found in his US apartment in Rochester, Minnesota. His cause of death is unknown at this time.

German film director Wolfgang Petersen has died at age 81. He died peacefully Friday at his Brentwood residence from pancreatic cancer, in the arms of his wife of 50 years, Maria Antoinette.
