New York Times issues correction after labeling Daily Caller journalist as Capitol Hill 'rioter' in photo

The New York Times reportedly fired award-winning queer journalist Lauren Wolfe, after she posted a Tweet saying she had “chills” watching US President Joe Biden’s plane land in Washington.The newspaper’s action was preceded by an online campaign of abuse, harassment and threats against Wolfe over her perceived pro-Biden tilt.

He was 95.Grimaldi’s son, Maurizio Grimaldi, confirmed his death to Variety, adding that his father died of natural causes.Born in Naples, Italy on March 28, 1925, Grimaldi originally studied law before starting his own production company, Produzioni Europee Associati, or P.E.A., in 1961.

On Sunday, iconic filmmaker Spike Lee was honored by the New York Film Critics Circle with a special award for his short New York New York, which was filmed during the pandemic. After fellow filmmaker Martin Scorsese presented him with the award, Lee did not mince words during his acceptance speech which was pre-recorded on January 6, the day when Donald Trump supporters invaded the Capitol.

These don’t appear to have been difficult arrests for police to make.  Two New York men were taken into custody after they allegedly left drugs in a rental car and returned to pick up their forgotten stash, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office says.  Deputies were first contacted by a rental car company at Albany International Airport on Wednesday.

The New York transportation worker arrested this week, accused of participating in the deadly Capitol riots, was granted bail Wednesday during a federal court hearing.  Magistrate Judge Judith McCarthy granted William Pepe a $10,000 bond, ordered him to wear a GPS monitor and imposed a 10 p.m. curfew during his initial court appearance.
