New ‘Love, Death + Robots’ Volume 3 Trailer Features David Fincher’s First Animated Directing Work (Video)

Yossman Guillermo del Toro and Kid Cudi are among the names that will appear at Netflix’s inaugural Annecy International Animation Film Festival showcase next month.The streamer is also bringing masterclasses and the world premiere of Chris Williams’ sea monster adventure “The Sea Beast,” starring Karl Urban and Dan Stevens, to the festival, which takes place in France.Netflix’s showcase will offer an exclusive first look at del Toro’s upcoming stop-motion adaptation of “Pinocchio,” with the filmmaker attending in person to discuss the project, as well as the first look at “Entergalactic,” the adult animated series from Kid Cudi (AKA Scott Mescudi) and Kenya Barris, which is based on Cudi’s album of the same name.

Director David Fincher got his feature film start with “Alien 3” but has avoided the sci-fi genre until recently, making his triumphant return with his animated short “Bad Travelling” for his animated anthology project “Love Death + Robots,” his first entry into directing animation. The short, streaming on Netflix, mixes multiple genres with horror and features a Lovecraftian-type creature along with a mortality tale, based on a Neal Asher (a handful of his work is used on the show) story that was adapted by longtime collaborator Andrew Kevin Walker (“Seven“).

David Fincher‘s projects with Netflix over the years are manifold. He’s directed episodes of “Mindhunter” and “House Of Cards,” produced “Voir,” a collection of short video essays, and released his 2020 film, “Mank,” on the platform.

First pictures of the brand new Love Island villa have been unveiled, revealing tradesmen are already hard at work to get it up to top shape ahead of the ITV show's return on 6 June.The new Mallorcan mansion boasts six bedrooms and sits at the foot of a big hill in a rural area of the island. Rustic in appearance, the rock-walled abode has two floors with a large outdoor area complete with what appears to be a pool. Currently under construction, the house has a tractor on the premises in the photos while scaffolding can be seen in various areas.
