New 'Hunger Games' book sells more than 500,000 copies

Andrew Cuomo announced he will sign the repeal, which passed by lawmakers on Tuesday.The 50-A legislation was first passed in the 1970s, but conversations about its validity resurfaced in response to the murder of Eric Garner in 2014 at the hands of a police officer.

It's been sixyears since author Josh Malermanpublished his acclaimed novel Bird Box, a post-apocalyptic tale that was adapted in the 2018 Netflix film of the same name starring Sandra Bullock. The film was viewed by 45 million accountsworldwidein its first week on the streaming service, catapulting Malerman's book on the New York Times bestseller list four years after its publication.

Michael Punke, author of the New York Times best-seller The Revenant is set to publish his first novel in 19 years. Ridgeline (Henry Holt and Company) is slated to hit bookshelves in summer 2021.
