NBC has given the medical drama “New Amsterdam” a massive three-season renewal.
The renewal will bring the show to five seasons total, with the second season currently airing. The announcement was Saturday morning by Paul Telegdy, chairman of NBC Entertainment, during the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
“New Amsterdam’s” second season is currently averaging a 1.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 9.8 million viewers in the Nielsen Live+7 ratings. In terms of viewership, the series
“Beat Shazam” has been picked up for a fourth season at Fox. Jamie Foxx will return as host and executive producer, while his daughter Corinne will also return as the show’s deejay.

“The Young and the Restless” has been renewed for four more years through the 2023-2024 broadcast season, announced CBS and Sony Pictures Television, taking the long-running daytime drama to its 50th year on the air.

Apple is all in on its new comedy series from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day. The streaming service has renewed the duo's new show, Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet, for a second season ahead of the show's Feb. 7 debut. The news was announced Sunday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
“Home Before Dark,” Apple TV Plus’ mystery series inspired by the real-life reporting of 9-year-old investigative journalist Hilde Lysiak, has nabbed an early Season 2 renewal ahead of its series premiere on April 3.

Comedy Central has snagged Awkwafina, and it is not letting her go any time soon. Sarah Babineau, co-head of original content at Comedy Central, announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that the network's new comedy Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens has been renewed for Season 2 ahead of its debut.
