Donald Trump has responded to calls for a pardon for Joe Exotic, the colourful zoo owner at the centre of Netflix’s breakout hit Tiger King.
Orlando Bloom is reportedly in talks to play eccentric zoo keeper Joe Exotic in a movie about his life. Joe, 57, rose to fame last month when his documentary Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness was released on Netflix.
Investigation Discovery announced a “definitive sequel” to Netflix’s “Tiger King, Murder, Mayhem and Madness” that will feature none other than Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as Joe Exotic.
To say we're grateful for Tiger King in times like these would be an understatement. The Netflix docu-series weaves the absurd and at times unbelievable story of Joe Exotic, an exotic animal zookeeper whose feud with fellow big cat enthusiast Carole Baskin comes to a dramatic climax when the FBI begins investigating whether or not Joe took out a hit on his similarly eccentric rival.
The story of Joe Exotic, aka Joe Maldonado-Passage, isn't done yet. The subject of Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, will go under the magnifying glass once again for Investigation Discovery's Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic.
Okay, we know a lot of crazy s--- goes down in Netflix's Tiger King, but one of the best revelations that came from the docuseries is that the flashy Joe Exotic is an aspiring country star.America's favorite imprisoned tiger handler has actually released two whole albums that were available for purchase at his gift shop.
Yes, the world is enraptured by Joe Exotic, one of the subjects of Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness. But is the empathy misplaced? The now-imprisoned star of the Netflix documentary series has become the subject of many celebrity tweets, memes and the talk of, well, the internet.
The star of the popular Netflix docuseriesTiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is currently in isolation behind bars out of an abundance of caution during the coronavirus pandemic. Joseph Maldonado-Passage, aka "Joe Exotic," the Tiger King, is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for his part in a murder-for-hire plot.
From the opening scenes of “Tiger King,” it’s clear that Joe Exotic, the star of Netflix’s latest documentary sensation, was ready to do just about anything to become famous. Throughout the series, he attempts to film his own reality show, runs for the governor of Oklahoma and even tries his hand at country music.
Another day, another whopper when it comes to unearthing more of the real story behind the stars of the new Netflix smash hit docuseries Tiger King.
