Netflix's Slasher and American Gods star Robert Cormier dies aged 33

Netflix star Robert Cormier has died aged 33, his family have confirmed. Robert starred in the hit streaming service's American Gods and Slasher, in addition to Canada's long-running TV series Heartland where he played Finn Cotter. He also landed a guest spot on Designated Survivor in 2016.
According to his obituary, he died on Friday 23 September. While the actor had been injured in an accident prior to his passing, his sister told The Hollywood Reporter that his cause of death is yet to be determined. He is survived by sisters Brittany, Krystal and Stephanie, as well as his parents Robert and Lisa.
“Robert was an athlete, an actor and a great brother,” his family told the publication. “He had a passion for helping others and was always looking to achieve more. He enjoyed movie nights with his family and looked up greatly to his father.
"He impacted many people throughout his life, whether it was family, teammates and friends. Rob’s memory will live on through his passion for art and film as well as his three sisters, who meant the world to him.” In light of the news of his death, Heartland has issued a statement expressing their condolences. "We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier," the statement began.
"He was a beloved member of the Heartland cast the last two seasons. On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time."
