Netflix’s Mindhunter in jeopardy as season three is on ‘indefinite hold’

After the success of the first two seasons, it seems that Mindhunter might not be returning.
The show hasn’t been cancelled, but Deadline is reporting that the cast is now out of the contract.
Their deals expired in December 2019 which means they’re not contractually obliged to appear in another season.
When speaking to the outlet on the issue, Netflix said that the main reason a third run of the show is being put on hold is due to David Fincher.
