Netflix has struck a first-look deal with BOOM! Studios, the comic book publisher behind franchises including Lumberjanes, Something is Killing the Children, Once & Future, and Mouse Guard.

British documentary maker Louis Theroux's production company, Mindhouse Productions, has secured a first-look distribution deal with BBC Studios. The arrangement marks a return for Theroux (My Scientology Movie), who left the BBC's commercial arm just last year to set up the independent banner alongside his executive producer Arron Fellows and TV director Nancy Strang, with the aim of to tackling thought-provoking and complex subjects, some with Theroux attached onscreen.
