The NCIS: Origins cast is growing by the day.
Even more stars have signed on as series regulars and recurring stars in the cast of the CBS prequel series, which just got a straight-to-series order for the 2024-2025 broadcast season.

Here’s what to expect, via Deadline: executive produced and narrated by Mark Harmon, Origins begins in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS, and chronicles Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ younger years. In the prequel, Gibbs starts his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NIS Camp Pendleton office where he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks.

The NCIS: Origins is coming!
Leo Barraclough International Features Editor Paramount’s upcoming action-packed show “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” will have issues of trust at its core, stars Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo said at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, where the “NCIS” franchise is celebrating reaching 1,000 episodes. The series, set to stream on Paramount+, focuses on their “NCIS” characters, Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, after they have left the agency, and are bringing up their daughter, Tali, in Paris.

Hugh Jackman and Emma Thompson are set to star in Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie, and they’ll share the screen in the live-action comedy with a star-studded cast!

Now, is this necessary? Showtime made it known in early 2023 that it wanted to expand its “Dexter” franchise with a sequel to 2021’s “Dexter: New Blood,” but this, pun fully intended, is overkill. Before that spinoff, another one arrives: “Dexter: Original Sin,” a ten-episode prequel series that centers on a young serial killer-in-training Dexter Morgan in early ’90s Miami.
