Just days after Shane Gillis was announced as one of three new cast members on Saturday Night Live, the NBC sketch show fired the stand-up comic after past racial slur use by him was discovered. The controversial footage had been widely available online in podcast videos. However, the latest episode offered a fresh introductory ride, taking audiences all the way from the Senate floor to the pits of Hell, wherein the surprises and deliciously dangerous jokes just kept coming.
Adam Driver returned to 30 Rock to host Saturday Night Live for the third time this weekend, and he offered up a long-overdue sequel to his unforgettable 2016 skit, "Star Wars Undercover Boss: Starkiller Base." For the unfamiliar, that segment featured Driver as his Star Wars character Kylo Ren, pretending to be a low-level technician named Matt to learn just how his underlings really felt about him — and punish them accordingly.
