Natalie Morales, Nicole Byer & Tony Hale Join the Cast of 'Rugrats' Reboot

Shout! Studios has picked up the North American rights to Natalie Morales' drama Language Lessons, which also stars and is written by Mark Duplass. Actress-turned-director Morales debuted Language Lessons at the Berlin Film Festival and earned the audience award at the SXSW Film Festival.

The news comes on the heels of the movie’s world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and its Audience Award win at the SXSW Film Festival.“Language Lessons” marks the feature directorial debut of Natalie Morales (“Dead to Me,” “Plan B”).

The film was shot in secret during the pandemic with skeleton crews in Los Angeles and Costa Rica.The film is a production of Duplass Brothers Productions and was produced by Mel Eslyn.

Shout! Studios has acquired North American rights to Language Lessons, the drama that marks the feature directing debut of Natalie Morales. She co-stars with Mark Duplass, who also penned the script. The pic, which had its world premiere at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and won an audience award at SXSW, will now hit theaters and additional platforms later this year as part of the deal that includes digital, VOD, broadcast, and home entertainment rights.

The CW’s remiagening of the 2004 USA Network sci-fi drama series The 4400 has cast its first cast members. Arrow alum Joseph David-Jones and newcomer Khailah Johnson have joined the project, which has a straight-to-series order and has shortened its title to 4400. (The CW also abbreviated the title to its Powerpuff Girls reboot to Powerpuff.)

Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem are starring respectively as Ball and Arnaz — the creatives and stars behind beloved series I Love Lucy — in Sorkin's follow-up to Netflix's Trial of the Chicago 7.

Aaron Sorkin is still riding high from the six Oscar nominations his latest film, “The Trial of the Chicago 7” has received, including for Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture. But that doesn’t mean he’s slowing down.

Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jake Lacy, Clark Gregg and more have rounded out the cast of Being the Ricardos, a biopic of sorts of I Love Lucy stars and real-life couple Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz that stars Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem.
