Nia‘s character Toula says in the trailer, “My father passed away, and his last wish was for us to visit his childhood village and reconnect with our roots, so we’re having a reunion,. And by we, I mean the whole family.”
This is the first film in the franchise without Michael Constantine as the patriarch of the family. He passed away at the age of 94 back in September of 2021.
The film hits theaters on September 8.
