Not only that, there's also something to keep the little ones entertained too, in the form of a Jungle Quest challenge, where they have to spot the cuddly toy animals around the store. Anyone who finds them all gets a free ice cream.
Sharing a post in the Happy Days Out Facebook group, showing toddler Joseph having a whale of a time in the Tameside store, Sally said: "Looking for a cheap air conditioned place to take the kids?? Ikea! They are doing kids meals for 95p including a drink and piece of fruit throughout summer, portions are generous. Also noticed a 'jungle quest' activity where you have to spot cuddly toy animals round the store (this was in the Ashton branch) and you get a free ice cream of you find them all."
Parents loved the idea. "Brilliant" said one. While another added: "Thank you! Think I'll head there tomorrow."
The mum-of-two, from Chorlton, also mum to five-year-old Zoe, told the Manchester Evening News: "I shared it because there aren't many low cost places to take children that are air conditioned and not crowded. The 95p children's meal deal is a bargain."
