A mum has suggested taking one child on holiday and leaving the other at home.
She says that she does this, and then repeats the process with the other child, so that she can get more quality time with each child. The mum adds that it's not about saving money, it's just about giving each child her full attention during a holiday.
The mum is called Julie Cook and she works as a freelance journalist. While she loves a trip away, Julie says that she isn't overly keen on the whole family affair when it comes to holiday as it can make what should be a relaxing experience a whole lot more stressful.

Discussing a time that she visited Venice in 2018 with her 14-year-old son Alex but without daughter Adriana, Julie told the Metro : "I was able to listen to him talking without being interrupted. By the end of our four days I felt like I knew him – properly – all over again."
The parent was inspired by David Beckham, who took daughter Harper to Venice for a bonding trip without any of her brothers or mum. Both children get trips with their mum - last year Julie took Adriana to Paris while leaving Alex at home.

One mum recently revealed that she was feeling guilt-tripped for wanting a cheap family holiday - and fellow parents were quick to help try and come up with some alternatives to pricier
