A motorcyclist had died following a horror crash with a lorry near Loch Lomond
Emergency services raced to the A82 between Tarbet and Inveruglas after the alarm was raised at around 4.15pm on Wednesday, April 20.
Ambulance crews attended but a 31-year-old man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The lorry driver was uninjured.
Both lanes of the A82 were quickly closed to traffic with diversions put in place.
The road remained closed at 8pm on Wednesday night while police continued their enquiries.
Sergeant Hugh Niccolls, from Dumbarton Road Policing Unit, said: “At this time, our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the deceased. “I’d like to thank the public who stopped at the scene and have provided statements to officers. We continue to appeal for any further witnesses to come forward.
“If you have any information on this incident, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2388 of 20 April.”
Earlier today Police Scotland updated their social media channels with advice for those hoping to access the road.
They wrote: "The A82 is currently closed between Tarbet and Inveruglas following a road crash, which took place around 4.15pm.
"Emergency services are at the scene and motorists are advised to avoid the area. Diversions are in place."
