Motion Picture Academy Sets Its 2021 Film Scholars

Sony Pictures Classics has set a Nov. 19 New York and Los Angeles theatrical release for their British romantic drama Mothering Sunday. SPC picked up the movie in September and gave it a world premiere at Cannes last month. The pic will further expand to other U.S. markets after its initial late fall release.

After an eight-year streak on the Culver City lot, Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group Chairman Tom Rothman will continue to lead the film studio, this time adding CEO to his title as the global media conglomerate has extended his contract. Rothman will continue to report to Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairman and CEO, Tony Vinciquerra.

Joni Mitchell is among the artists set to be honoured as part of the 2021 Kennedy Center Honors.Mitchell will receive a lifetime achievement award at the live awards ceremony on December 5 at the John F.

The Kennedy Center Honors will return in December with a class that includes Motown Records creator Berry Gordy, "Saturday Night Live" mastermind Lorne Michaels and actress-singer Bette Midler. Madonna’s latest alter ego, “Madame X.”A teaser for the Material Girl’s upcoming “Madame X” concert film was released Thursday, promoting its Oct. 8 premiere on Paramount+.

Joey King, the young star of Netflix’s “The Kissing Booth” film series, has extended her relationship with the streamer by signing a first-look film deal with Netflix. The 21-year-old actress will produce and develop movies for Netflix through her production company, All The King’s Horses.

 Madonna couldn’t be more excited to get “back in the saddle” after suffering multiple broken bones during a horseback riding incident back in 2005. It has been more than 15 years since the singer was thrown from a horse on her 47th birthday, an incident that caused her to sustain three broken ribs, a fractured collarbone and a fractured hand.

The “Like a Prayer” songstress couldn’t be a prouder parent when son David Banda, 15, scored a goal during his soccer game (or football game, as they say in England) on July 11. Madonna attended the game with her daughters Mercy James, 15, and twins Stella Ciccone and Estere Ciccone, 8, and shared a video to Instagram of the foursome excitedly cheering on David from the sidelines of the game.
