With Father's Day on the horizon – it's tomorrow, June 18, in case you'd forgotten – there are sure to be plenty of people scrambling for last minute gift ideas to celebrate the special day. If you're short on time, or just want to give something more personal and homemade this year, Molly-Mae Hague shared an idea for a perfect and adorable gift.
To celebrate her partner Tommy Fury's first year as a dad, the Love Island star, 24, decided to make something extra special for him, with the help of their daughter Bambi, in the form of a picture decorated with Bambi’s handprints. The social media influencer shared a look at the making of the cute gift, posting a video to her Instagram story of her painting Bambi’s hands in purple paint before attempting to get the little one’s hand print onto the paper.
Bambi didn’t seem quite as keen to cooperate with the painting project, with Molly-Mae making several attempts at getting the prints onto the paper and captioning her video: “Arts and crafts in prep for Father’s Day. Slightly disasterous but still cute”.The final result was still very adorable nonetheless, with the mum taking to her Instagram Stories to showcase her efforts, which featured a few of her daughter's purple handprints, as she joked “A* for effort” with several crying laughing emojis, before adding “Was soooo much harder than I imagined.” Although it may have been trickier than Molly-Mae anticipated, it does make for a perfectly thoughtful gift for dads out there, especially those who are celebrating their first ever Father’s Day with a child.
