Missing Inverness teen Scott Shearer sparks police probe after failing to show for meet-up

A desperate appeal have been launched to trace a teenager missing in Inverness since Wednesday.
Scott Shearer was last seen at around 5pm when he was dropped off at the Co-op on the city's Telford Street.
The 17-year-old was meeting a friend there.
Scott was supposed to be picked up at 6.45pm that same night but did not show up.
Police Scotland have now launched an appeal for information as they attempt to find him.
Officers are poring over local CCTV and going door-to-door in the area, asking locals if they have seen the teenager.
Scott is described as being around 5ft 8in tall, with a slim build and short, dark hair.
When last seen, he was wearing a grey Armani, zip-up, soft shell-type jacket, black Nike joggers and black Vapor Max trainers.
Anyone with knowledge of Scott's wherabouts, or who may have seen him since he disappeared, have been urged to come forward.
Police Sergeant John Beverly said :“We are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace him.
“Officers are reviewing CCTV and carrying out door to door enquiries and I would appeal to any with any information which could assist us to come forward.
“Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2876 of March 30, 2022.”
