Miley Cyrus’ plane was struck by lightning after the aircraft was caught in a “major unexpected storm” on the way to one of her gigs.The former Disney star, 29, is currently on tour and was en route to Asunción, Paraguay, when the scary ordeal happened. As a result of the lightning strike, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing meaning Miley had to cancel her concert in the Paraguayan capital. Giving an update to her 162 million Instagram followers, the Midnight Sky singer shared a video of the lightning that could be seen from inside the plane, as well as a picture of the damage caused by the strike.
Miley wrote alongside the snaps: “To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting. My crew , band , friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing.
We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay.” “I LOVE YOU,” she concluded.The singer’s devoted fans have since expressed their relief that she and the rest of her crew are safe. “WE LOVE YOU MILEY IM SO HAPPY THAT EVERYONE IS OKAY,” one person, as another said: “Omgggg I’m so glad you guys are okay”.
