Made in Chelsea stars James Taylor and Maeva D'Ascanio are gearing up for the next stage in their relationship. James, 26, and Maeva, 30, recently got engaged during a romantic trip to Rome and if that wasn’t enough, the couple are also expecting their first child. On the most recent episode of the hit E4 show, the pair finally revealed the gender of their future baby in a rather unique way.
While many opt for coloured confetti to reveal the gender of their baby, or some don’t want to know at all, James and Maeva had the gender of their little one hidden in a cake. The pair enjoyed a romantic lunch with just the two of them and at the end of it they cut into a specially designed cake. While Maeva could hardly look and counted to three before opening her eyes, James exclaimed in delight: “It's blue, isn’t it? It’s blue!”.The cake was indeed blue and the pair were overjoyed to find out they were having a baby boy.
However, Maeva did take time to ask James if he was “sure” he was happy and he quickly quashed her worries away by showing his excitement for the new chapter in the pair’s life. James opened up to OK! about how "special" it feels to be having a child with his fiancée as he said: "A month in, I turned around to her and was like, 'I feel even more connected to you,' and she feels the same. I don’t think you can do anything more together than create a life." "It’s part of both of you and is the best thing I can humanly imagine right now that you can do with someone you love.
