McFly have revealed their genius plan to ensure the band will live on forever: enlisting their children to form their own band.Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter have come a long way since they first shot to fame in 2003, and three of them – Tom, Harry and Danny – have since gone on to embrace family life as doting dads.Talking exclusively with OK! this week, the hitmakers revealed their hope to mirror the likes of S Club Juniors by grouping their children together as a future mini-McFly. Eldest band member Tom shares three sons with his wife Giovanna – Buzz, Max and Buddy. While Harry is dad to Lola, seven, Kit, five, and Lockie, almost two.
Danny has one son, five-year-old Cooper. "Dougie is really close with all of our kids too, so it's nice," shared Harry during our chat. "I can’t wait for the day that Buzz, Kit and Buddy join us on stage and play a song.
Danny’s son Cooper is unsurprisingly showing vocal ability already, so, that’s a pretty good line-up." "We’ve got a solid band there," jested Dougie. As Danny added of his little one, "Cooper might need more convincing. He’s obsessed with racing so it could be F1 for him." Harry joked that it would be a 'step up' from Abba Voyage - a virtual concert residency by the Swedish pop group which uses visual avatars.
"We won't need holograms, we've got the kids to keep it going! Tom's sons look pretty like him as well so no one will notice," laughed the singer. The band first formed in 2003, going strong until a three-year hiatus in 2016. Now, the boys are back stronger than ever and are heading on tour later this year after a string of festival appearances.
