After 5 Seasons with 10 episodes each, Mayans M.C. has finally come to an end. On Wednesday night the hit biker gang series aired its last episode.
A spinoff of FX’ extremely popular Sons Of Anarchy, Mayans brought the viewer back into the world of gang violence. The Mayans were seen on SOA as a rival biker gang that dealt hard drugs and controlled the Southern California prisons.Mayans M.C. follows the once respectable Ezekiel (EZ) Reyes.
EZ was on his way to Stanford for higher education before he was sent to prison for killing a police officer. He then made a deal with Federal Agents to infiltrate a motorcycle club his brother Angel Reyes was a member of. That club of course is the Mayans. In the finale episode, we see EZ and Angle mourning the death of their father Felipe. Killed by the Sons Of Anarchy Felipe was the breaking point for EZ. In the rage and sadness of losing his father, Ez declares war on the Sons and gives an iconic speech. “We fight because we love,” he declared triumphantly to a crowd of Mayans.
“Because we love our brothers. Because we love our family and we want them to be safe.” as said by People.com. It then cuts to a member of the Mayans paying a house call to one of the bar workers. He begins to tell her that she can not say anything about the club’s illegal dealings.
He reaches into his pocket to pull out what the woman thinks is a gun. She proceeds to stab the biker to death only for him to reveal a one-way plane ticket and some stacks of cash. She quickly goes to the feds for protection as one of the last scenes is her telling the government everything she has seen. Finally the whole club
