Selling Sunset’s Maya Vander has left the hit Netflix show and instead joined a Florida-based real estate company. Maya, 41, has been part of the Selling Sunset cast since day one, and viewers would see the mum-of-two jet thousands of miles between Los Angeles – where the Oppenheim Group is based – and her home in Miami. Now it appears as if the travelling has become too much for the successful real estate agent, and she’s decided to pursue a career closer to her husband and children.
At the end of May, Maya took to Instagram to inform her 1.3 million Instagram followers that she’s created The Maya Vander Group in Miami, and introduced her new team. More recently, the 41 year old shared that the group has teamed up with Compass, which she described as “the leader in global, luxury real estate”. While she’s left the Oppenheim Group, there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between her former employers Jason and Bret who took to the comments section of her post to congratulate her.
“Congrats Maya! We are always in support of you and love you,” penned Bret, as Jason added: “Yes maya!!!” followed with clapping hands and red heart emojis. Her former colleagues and Selling Sunset co-stars were also quick to congratulate her. Heather Rae Young wrote: “Yay Maya!!! Love this.
Congrats girl!” “Congratulations! Compass is a GREAT Firm!” added Christine Quinn, as Vanessa Villela wrote: “you’re amazing and an inspiration”. As a result of her leaving the Oppenheim Group, Maya’s said to not be appearing in the sixth season of Selling Sunset, TMZ reports. OK! have contacted Netflix for comment.
