Love Island is back, baby! On Monday, host Maya Jama was back on our screens and ready to kick off the tenth series of the hit dating reality show. Already, it’s looking to be an eventful series, and we can’t wait to watch all of the drama, flirting, and general carnage unfold. But we don’t just watch Love Island to see who gets with who.
It’s also the perfect opportunity to get our summer wardrobe inspiration from the fashion icon that is Maya. During the winter series, which was the 28 year old’s first LI, she literally broke the internet with her next level looks. From the red knitted two piece she wore as she made her presenting debut to the ‘optical illusion’ dress that sent fans wild, her archive of outfits was one of the main reasons we tuned in.
And after revealing that the “pressure is on” this series for her stylist following the looks doing “very well last series,” already, we can confirm that she does not need to worry. Taking to Instagram last night to post a carousel of glam shots and footage ahead of the show launch, Maya’s latest outfit - a white striped sheer dress - could quite possibly be the one to beat yet. “Allll aboaard, can’t wait to be back on your tv tonight @loveisland ! Who’s ready…” she captioned the post.
The first shot showed the outfit up close and from the side as Maya posed on a yacht in the harbour. The dress, which featured a halterneck and loose, low cut neckline, included different sized horizontal white panels that accentuated her stunning figure. Makeup wise, she went for a gorgeous red lip, subtle cat eye eyeliner, and a touch of blush, as her long brunette hair was styled in old Hollywood waves. The second pic showed the dress from behind.
