Duncan Crabtree-Ireland will be SAG-AFTRA’s next national executive director and chief negotiator, succeeding David White when he steps down from the post on June 21. The promotion of Crabtree-Ireland, the union’s longtime second-in-command, was approved today at a special meeting of the national board of directors, which also approved his new three-year contract. His promotion was approved by 64.82% of the board members, with 35.18% opposed.

“SAG-AFTRA filed this charge in response to a management-driven strategy to silence a thriving newsroom and undermine accountability and transparency by issuing discipline and threats against employees for asking questions and engaging in legally protected activity,” read a statement from SAG-AFTRA, which represents broadcast journalists in addition to screen actors.

Kanye West is mulling over the idea of throwing his hat into the race for president again in 2024.  According to a letter issued to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) obtained by Fox News, the rapper responded to a Request for Further Information (RFAI) in which his representatives note that his Kanye 2020 committee that prompted the request is "strictly exploratory."  "Kanye West has not decided whether to become a candidate for president in the 2024 election," the letter reads.
