Former host of The One Show, Matt Baker, is back for a second series of Matt Baker: Travels with Mum & Dad, and he is loving every minute of travelling with his parents.
The new series shows the trio exploring the North East of England, from Durham to Thirsk, and Matt gives his parents some memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
The 45 year old said spending time with his loved ones is "priceless" after moving to be closer to his family. Speaking exclusively to OK!, Matt said: “It’s priceless, and you know what getting to spend time together, and taking folk to places you know they are going to love, that are doable for them, to really experience, is invaluable.
“One of the things I really want to do with this show is encourage people to go out as families and just have that special precious time together.” The TV star continued: “It doesn’t have to be big trips away, you can go there and back in a day, and you can spend that time. “I think certainly as parents get older, you enter into this chapter, where you become a little bit more protective, and you are a bit more reluctant to go far, so if you can take your parents places, they will love it.” Throughout the series, fans will get to see Matt take his parents to places that he knows they will enjoy, and help them create the memories that they can then talk about with their friends, and that is one of Matt’s favourite things about the More4 show.
