Joel Dommett has shared the meaning behind his son's name Wilde while opening up on life as a dad since welcoming the little one in September last year with wife Hannah Cooper.
The unique name actually has a deeper meaning, the Masked Singer host - who spent last week at Royal Ascot - has now shared, as it's after the building that he and model Hannah said 'I Do' back in 2019. "We got married at a hotel in Mykonos, in Greece, called The Wild. I was weirdly going to get a tattoo that said ‘wild’, and then when Hannah was pregnant, she said: ‘What do you think of the name Wilde?’," Joel explained during a recent interview with Hello!.
He continued: "I was like, ‘What, as in the hotel?’ She said: ‘Yeah.’ It also has Dutch connotations and Hannah’s Dutch. Now we’re just grateful that we didn’t get married in a Travelodge and have a baby called Trav." Following the nuptials in Mykonos, the couple hailed their wedding as "the best day ever" after they exchanged vows on the beach in a stunning ceremony. Joel and Hannah appear to have slipped perfectly into parent life, often sharing sweet family updates on social media.
And with such a busy work life between his TV and stage work, Joel admits that fatherhood gives him a routine. Gushing over baby Wilde, he explained: "I didn’t even know this love existed, the amount of love I feel for this child. Yet it’s so hard, especially at the start; you’re so sleep-deprived.
