Marnie Simpson, the former Geordie Shore star, said she was left in a state of shock when her husband Casey Johnson had to be rushed to A&E following a nasty kitchen accident.
The 32 year old reality TV regular and mum of two took to Instagram on Thursday, 22 February, to let her fans know about the chaotic episode involving Casey "peeling his finger with a potato peeler". While filming from their car afterwards, Marnie shared that they were on their way back to their stunning Bedfordshire home from the hospital and reassured everyone that Casey was doing "just fine." "The reason we've been out is because we just left A&E. Casey cut his finger.
He peeled his finger with a potato peeler but I can confirm he's absolutely fine," she told everyone. "He's a drama queen. He actually thought that he was septic from a little cut on the finger.
I know you can get septic from a cut but Casey had no symptoms and he was playing darts." Despite his ordeal, 28 year old former reality star Casey didn't seem too fazed by the incident. He even showed off his bandaged finger to the camera while driving - and admitted that he bled for 24 hours straight. Even so, the former Union J boyband singer confessed that "he was still in a bit of pain" after doctors had treated his wound.
Explaining exactly what happened, Casey said that he'd accidentally cut his finger with a potato peeler while in the kitchen. In a previous video, Marnie opened up about their different backgrounds and how surprised she was that they ended up together. She said: "Casey was in a school in London and I was in school in Newcastle and somehow we've both ended up together in a village in Bedfordshire.
