Mark Consuelos is opening up about his awkward encounters with airport security.
During the Tuesday episode of Live with Kelly & Mark, the 53-year-old Riverdale actor revealed that when he travels, he wears a certain pair of jeans that causes his crotch to set off the security machine at the airport.
Keep reading to find out more…“They’re very soft, they’re not too tight,” Mark said of the pants, which wife and co-host Kelly Ripa described as “travel panties.”
“Every time I go through the metal detector, they go off,” Mark continued, adding that pants usually sends him to the body scanner, which shows off *everything*.
“It shows, like, stuff, in the front area,” Mark explained as Kelly, also, 53, interrupted, “You can say crotch.”
“Anyway, the guy is usually a big, burly guy, and he’s like, ‘I’ve got to pat you down, man,’” Mark said. “He goes, ‘You want a private room?’”
He then praised the airport staff for their patience when it comes his trouble-making pants before going on to describe the way security agents pat him down.
“There’s no extra zipper, no extra rivets, nothing. On the way back home from California, I got stopped again,” Mark recalled. “This time, they just said random. So, I went through. He had to do it again, and he puts on a glove. I’m like, what are we doing? This is just second base, no? We’re just doing second base!”
Kelly then joked that it’s “no longer random” that Mark gets stopped and patted down.
During another recent episode of Live, Mark revealed to Kelly that he kissed another woman while in Italy.
