Marilyn Monroe has been spotted in throwback photos taking everyone's breath away much in the way Kim Kardashian did in the same dress worn by the reality star to the Met Gala on Monday night. Kim made a show-stopping appearance with boyfriend Pete Davidson as she arrived at the event wearing Marilyn’s original gown, which she shed 16 pounds for.The actress famously wore the historic gown as she sung Happy Birthday to President John F.
Kennedy in 1962, months before her death.The nude semi-sheer design is comprised of 2,500 hand-stitched crystals and originally cost $12,000 to create, with Marilyn having to be sewn into the dress when she wore it to sing to the president on his 45th birthday.That moment was caught on camera in photos which have now resurfaced following Kim’s display of the statement dress, showing Marilyn at Madison Square Garden where she performed in front of thousands in the iconic look.
