Marg Helgenberger is reportedly in early talks to return as the former director of the CSI Lab, according to TV Line.

While CBS has not commented on Marg‘s involvement, the news comes just after two other original stars revealed they would not return for the reboot’s second season.
Jorja Fox and William Petersen revealed they both would not return after being part of the inaugural season of the revival.
There’s also another cast member who will not be back.
Many fans wondered if Marg would return to the show when it was first announced and in the first episode of the series, it was explained where Catherine was: she was visiting her grandchild in Dublin, Ireland.
Marg most recently appeared in All Rise, which will now be airing on OWN. She will be back on that series in a limited capacity.
