Map of the Soul: 7: Jungkook REVEALS he came up with the title ON for BTS' lead single

After the massive success of BTS' latest album, Map of the Soul: 7, the septet will soon be gearing up for the Map of the Soul Tour, which will kickstart in the US and end in Japan. However, initial tour dates had four concerts in South Korea, which were recently cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak. The MOTS tour dates were April 11, 12, 18 and 19, which has now been cancelled with ARMY getting their refunds back. Even when BTS performed at music shows, it was to an empty audience.

To say that BTS is rewriting history in the music scene would be an understatement! The popular K-pop band, which has now become a worldwide phenomenon, is tasting some well-deserved global success thanks to their latest album, Map of the Soul: 7, which dropped in February 2020. In its first week, MOTS: 7 earned the #1 spot in the Billboard 200 chart while simultaneously being #1 in the UK, Germany and Japan charts as well.

Now, as they take a mini-break and start gearing up for the world tour in April, BTS has a reason to celebrate as Suga turns 27 today, i.e. March 9, 2020. The singer celebrated with his BTS brothers and the septet shared videos of the same on Twitter.

Map of the Soul: 7 is storming in the musical charts, not just in South Korea but on a worldwide scale as well. The album topped the charts in the US, the UK, Germany and Japan, which are the four leading music consuming nations.

The upward trajectory continues this week for Korean pop septet BTS, who have hit new commercial heights in the United States seemingly every year since their official 2013 debut.Map of the Soul: 7, their latest full-length release, bows at No. 1 this week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, having moved 422,000 equivalent album units in its opening frame.

The "BTS World Domination" hashtag is trending across several countries and honestly, it deserves to trend. The hashtag is the result of the Billboard's Hot 100 list. The music chart released the Hot 100 songs of the week and three of Map of the Soul: 7 songs found a spot in the list. While there was no surprise that "ON" would find a spot in the list, there were two other MotS 7 songs, by Jungkook and Jimin, that made their way to the top 100 and the ARMY is celebrating.

The film was initially scheduled to be released in China on Friday, but its release has been postponed.
